What is Walmart PPC?

PPC stands for pay-per-click. This is a model of Internet promotion in which advertisers pay to the marketplace each time one of their ads is clicked by real viewers. It’s a technique to make real visits organically.

Search engine advertising is one of the most popular methods of PPC. It permits Seller to bid for ads placement in a search engine’s sponsored links when someone searches on a keyword that is related to their business offering. For example, if we bid on the keyword “PPC software,” our ad might show up on the top spot on the Google results page.

Walmart Sponsored Ads Program 

Walmart newly launches self-serve Walmart Sponsored ads Program for nominated Marketplace sellers. Walmart’s sponsored ads are pay-per-click (PPC) advertising program based on keywords and product targeting that drive traffic to a desired product detail page, so that you can display your listings in special places across the marketplace. Before started Walmart Sponsored Ads Program you need to submit your company details to Walmart at this following email wpasales@walmart.com

To request access and confirm your eligibility for the program, you need to send information below to Walmart:

  • Company name
  • Your contact information (Name, phone number & email)
  • Legacy Seller ID
  • Seller Center Admin Email (the main and/or admin email address for your Seller Center account) and their full name 
  • Number of SKUs you carry on Walmart.com
  • The category of products you sell
  • Your primary campaign objective
  • Your target audience
  • Indicate if you’re interested in an annual plan, specific seasons, and/or the holidays
  • Your anticipated budget

After completing the investigation process Walmart will send you a confirmation email. Now you can do PPC on Walmart.

Detail Steps of Creating Walmart PPC

PPC on Walmart is a very easy method. You just need to follow these steps below.

Step 1: First you need to login to Walmart Advertising portal https://advertising.walmart.com/signin. Click on Login as Seller.

After login, this will take you to the Sponsored Ad home page, you can see that on the top side of the screen Walmart features are grouped into categories that you can use. To create the new campaign, you need to choose to Create new campaign from Campaigns.

Step 2: In Campaign Targeting Preference you need to choose which type of bidding you want. If you want Manual bidding then click on Manual bidding, for Manual bidding you need to create on own keywords. Another one is Automatic bidding, and for that you don’t need to create any keywords. After choosing the bidding click on Next.

Step 3: In Details and Budget, you need to provide the asking information.

  1. Campaign Name: You can choose any name.
  2. Total Budget: Minimum total budget on Walmart 1000$.
  3. Daily Budget: Minimum daily budget on Walmart 100$.

Now click on Next.

Step 4: Now you need to fill-up Bid Multiplier fields. This field is important, you need to provide here the placement and platform percentage. After providing the information click on Next.

Step 5: Click on the Add New Ad Group.

Now give a group name on Ad Group Name field and provide Total and Daily Budget. Click on Next. 

It will take you to the item adding option. Click on the Search tab and search your product name and select your product from the search results.

Everything is set. Now click on Save from the top right side Save button.

Your campaign will start on your given starting date. You can check your report summary from the Dashboard.
